La Ville d'Annecy

Annecy is a little French village southeast of France, also known as the alpine town. Here's where you'll find me as Julie Andrews dancing in the flower fields like The Sound Of Music. Undoubtedly, this place ranks among my top three destinations of all time. It is a very underrated city in my opinion and still unheard of for many, which is a shame because this place is gold. Just look at how beautiful it is!

My first visit to Annecy was back in summer 2008 when I attended a two-weeks French language course. Summer schools are probably not everyone’s ideal way to spend a holiday, but it was one of my best summers ever. I learnt more French during those two weeks than what I did in one year in school. Overall it was an amazing experience with great friends, fun activities and never-ending picturesque sceneries. I kept telling myself years after that I would return one beautiful day, and in 2011 I did so while on my way to a wedding in Grenoble. Now I'm telling myself the same, so we'll see when the next visit will be.

Photos are mixed from both 2008 and 2011.
